Has anyone ported gnat 3.05 to Solaris 2.5.1? The Solaris 2.4 binaries don't
seem to work under 2.5.1, and I was unable to compile a new version under
Solaris 2.5.

No porting is required. The 2.4 binaries run fine on 2.5.1, and we have
run them ourselves that way, as have others. A message like "I was unable
to compile" is somewhat unhelpful. Anyway, this is almost certainly an
installation error. A common error during such upgrades is to overwrite
the Ada aware gcc with some other version of gcc that is not Ada aware.

I used the solaris 2.4 binaries to build gcc-2.7.2 and gnat-3.05 on
solaris-2.5 (sparc Ultra). I had no difficulties at all.
