Many people are coding their programs on the assumption that they only
need 12 characters for a Dos filename. However12 chars is not really
adequate. Consider...


        H:\cs100\ass24\ass24.adb

which is a reasonable thing to want to type in (from the users point of
view),
but is certainly longer than 12 chars!
