eValid Ver. 3.2 Available for Evaluation

Features Include 3D-SiteMaps, Expanded Site Analysis Filters,
New Data Synthesis Modes, New Validate Screen Features

                      <http://www.e-valid.com>

The latest release of eValid, ver. 3.2, includes major new features
as described below and in the Release Notes at:
<http://www.soft.com/eValid/Products/Documentation.32/release.3.2.html>

o Synthesized Input Data. There is a new simplified method method
for assigning values to parameterized playback scripts from a
table. Called Synthesized Input Data, this new modes makes it
easy to run large number of variations of a script quickly.

o Extended Mapping Filters. The eValid InBrowser site spider now
has additional filter reporting, including checking for pre-set
metric properties such as HTML element count visible text size.
Spidered pages can be examined for simple string matches or for
    powerful regular expression matches.

o 3D Site Map. A novel new display that shows page dependencies
in a 3D SiteMap is aimed at helping WebSite developers and
maintainers understand how all the parts of WebSites connect.
3D SiteMap images can be rotated in three dimensions -- with
dynamic update -- and expanded and contracted. The 3D SiteMap
is created directly from an eValid Site Analysis run. Besides
showing basic dependence, the 3D SiteMaps can be annotated to
reflect download speed, page size, page name.

o Save & Validate Screens. There is a new capability to permit
saving of screens (either the face of a window or the full
window) during playback. This feature expands the already
powerful validation capabilities of the eValid product. An image
difference utility that permits masking of images is also
included. This feature also adds a capability in monitoring
mode to save screenshots when a failure is detected.

eValid licenses start at $450 for basic record/playback capability.
Separate licenses in various combinations are available. A complete
license with all eValid functionality (SiteMap, Functional Testing,
Data Generation, Loading, Timing/Tuning and is available at very
attractive bundle price.

Demonstration versions available at:

Hmm.. the 3D-SiteMap concept is quite interesting, is there any other
competiting software that is using this concept? Or, did anyone
published any academic research paper about this kind of interface?
Just curious...

thanks
