   Is there any reason you must use Integer rather than a type ... is
range ... that fits the problem?
  The RR compiler I still use for bare 16 bit DOS targets has, not
surprisingly, a 16 bit Integer.  Don't know about other compilers
with that target.  (Are there any?)
