Software Development Manager

Manage & coordinate, schedule & budget large complex software systems. 
Demonstrated ability to lead multiple teams and sub-contractors for a 
100MM+ software project. Familiar with software deliverables required 
for Dod Mil Std 2167A, 498. Primary external software interface to the 
customer. Responsible for software process. Identify and manage software 
risk.  Create and maintain sw metrics. Seek candidate who have Managed 
large project ( 50 - 100 MM$$, multi, 250K+ l.o.c., managed sub-contractors, 
wrote statements of work for sub-contracts). Ability to plan, track, monitor 
teams and sub-contractors. Report to the Technical Director. Directly 
lead a goup of 12 - 15 with Integrated Product Responsiblity for 200+ 
engineers. Demonstrate a clear appreciation of Integrated Product Development. 
Use Software pricing tools (COCOMO, SEER, RIVIC) to track cost, schedule.


Familiarity with managing software development using Ada and or "C" / 
UNIX programming languages with an understanding of Object Oriented Analysis 
and Design ( OORA OOD ). Understanding of software metrics and knowledgeable 
in the SEI Capability Maturity Model (CMM). Expeirence in managing subcontracs 
with significant software content. Stable long term prospects for key 
contributor The current contract is written through the year 2000 with 
likely add on work through 2010.
