ORBIX/Ada AVAILABLE FROM OIS
********************************

Also released earlier this year by OIS and IONA Technologies
Ltd. was an Ada implementation on ORBIX, IONA's
implementation of the Object Management Group's (OMG's)
Common Object Request Broker Architecture (CORBA) standard.
Orbix/Ada supports rapid development of highly-efficient,
distributed object-oriented applications that follow a
transparent and straightforward, standards-based model.

"Complex programs no longer need rely on expensive,
proprietary solutions. Orbix/Ada opens the door to using Ada
for large-scale banking, telecommunications and engineering
applications. Orbix/Ada makes building information systems
manageable," stated Bill Beckwith, Vice President of
Objective Interface Systems.

Initial availability of Orbix/Ada and Acumentor/orbix for
Ada 95 was planned for the first quarter of 1996 on SunSoft
Solaris. Versions for other UNIX systems, VMS, Windows NT,
and Windows 95 are planned shortly thereafter.
