The developer is Tegimenta, their product is high percision analytical
systems used in hospitals and laboratories, to perform in-vitro
diagnostics. The application is 220,000 lines of code, developed on the
HP 9000/ series 400 and 700 running under UNIX. Alsys development
environment and Cadre Teamwork is used by Tegimenta engineers. Have you
heard of this project and if so where can I get more info. on the
requirment specifications used to develop this applictaion? I am also
trying to find out how much of the application was written in Ada?

By all means, anyone with info on this please speak up!
It would be good to hear of such a reality, as it is somewhat
discouraging to believe that any really good Ada action is
the result of some mandate or other. This is the kind of
project that needs a little bit of promotion to the rest of
the world.

The AdaIC Software Engineering host (http://sw-eng.falls-church.va.us)
has testimonials on quite a few successful NON-DoD projects in its Ada
successes section. Additionally, our Ada at Work flyer lists numerous
Ada projects. We are always on the lookout for more sucessful
commercial Ada projects. Even information about less-than-sucessful
Ada projects are valuable for the lessons learned.

I'm inviting everyone to browse our server and tell us of any Ada
projects (commercial, academic, government or other) willing to
showcase themselves in a short article.
