MARCH 1996 REPORT BRIEF
=======================
Note: THE PAL MIRROR SITE AT CDROM.COM WAS OFFLINE ALL MONTH.
ALSO, STARTING THIS MONTH, THE PAL MIRROR SITES NOW HAVE THEIR
OWN ACCOUNT FOR ACCESSING THE PAL, SO THEIR ACTIVITY IS NO LONGER
REPORTED AS A PART OF THE ACTIVITY LOG.
During March 1996, users from
539 organizations in
36 countries extracted
38,695 files
from the PAL. Of these 539 organizations, March 1996 was the first time
86 of them accessed the PAL (so, 453 are repeat customers).
The user organizations include, but are not limited to:

The activities of the PAL mirror sites in California, Paris, and
Virginia have already been excluded from the above counts.
The above counts present low estimates of the actual activity; these
counts do NOT include Gopher transfers from the CDROM.COM mirror or
any transfers from the SW-ENG mirror (it has not yet been announced
to users). They do NOT include FTP mail and remote NFS mounts from the
main site at WUARCHIVE.WUSTL.EDU. They also do NOT include CDROM
distributions. They do NOT include any transfers from CDROM or SW-ENG
(data not available).
The raw data and activity logs associated with these activities are
located in the tree ada/userdocs/activity in the PAL.
