FSF GNAT and gdb work nicely in Debian 5 AMD64 stable.
The gdb package description misses Ada among the
supported languages, but this gdb does support Ada,

(gdb) show language
The current source language is "auto; currently ada".

(gdb) show architecture
The target architecture is set automatically (currently i386:x86-64)

I'll check the Spark issue tomorrow.
