It can also work in Ada - just not as an arithmetic operation ;-)
MyLongNameResult := MyLongNameInput--2
+MyLongNameAddend;
I have never really been enamoured with the Ada choice of comment marker,
especially when there were many other unused/lesser used characters
available.
