Hi folks,

Does anyone out there have any experience with the Tartan Ada Development Syste
m?
(If not, you can stop reading :)

We are experiencing difficulties using Adascope and perhaps someone can enlight
en
me as to why.  We are developing for the TMS320C40.  Currently we are using the
C40 simulator (running on a SPARC).  I've run into two problems (?):

   1) Certain variables cannot be evaluated.  Adascope returns a warning:
      ?Warning: <variable name> has been optimized out of the program.
  
      I find this curious, because I specified NO optimization.

   2) I have an unconstrained array type and a declaration:

         type My_Array is array (NATURAL range <>) of FLOAT;

         An_Array : My_Array(0 .. 10);

      When I pass An_Array to a procedure like this:

         procedure My_Procedure(x, y : in My_Array) is...

      Adascope informs me that the 'range of x and y is (0 , 0) when I step int

      this procedure.  This is clearly incorrect (or is it? - I'm new to Ada).

Any help would be appreciated.  Please reply by email.
