I too have a question on the same lines:
I vaguely remember that a while ago, there was a posting on one of the
newsgroups regarding dynamic memory in real-time software.
The poster claimed that the use of dynamic memory allocation is
disallowed in british defence software to avoid run-time errors.
I neither remember the exact topic, nor the reference. Does anybody
know if this is true, and if it is, any references?
