I might add that it isn't just by being able to point at successful
projects in Ada. Certainly through time, we've had any number of
successful projects implemented in Ada. It should be obvious to anyone
willing to look that Ada *can* be successfully employed. The real trick
here is to make projects that are a *commercial* success - invent
something that uses Ada and sell it successfully - because it is only
through some kind of commercial success that jobs are created, revenues
to compiler vendors are created, universities are encouraged to teach
Ada, etc. Unless it generates more revenues than expenses, what you've
got is a hobby and hobbyist languages don't tend to fare well over the
long run.
