Hello, Everyone,

Users from 808 organizations world-wide extracted a total of 13,730
files from the Public Ada Library (PAL) in March 1995. The activity of
the PAL mirror sites at Walnut Creek CDROM and CNAM has already been
subtracted from this figure.

March 1995 marked the end of the first year of funding of the PAL by the
Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA). Don Reifer, Director of the
Ada Joint Program Office in DISA, has renewed the PAL contract for
another year.

The total of the PAL activity to date (since June 1993, with the PAL
mirror site activity already subtracted out):

users from 2,396 organizations (world wide) -
    170,176 files transferred

The raw data and detailed reports on the PAL activity can be found in
the directory userdocs/activity in the PAL. These figures include the
activity by anonymous FTP, gopher, and the World Wide Web from the main
PAL site at wuarchive.wustl.edu and the activity by anonymous FTP from
the PAL mirror sites at ftp.cdrom.com and ftp.cnam.fr. It does not
include activity by archie, FTP mail, remote NFS mounts, CDROM sales,
and other access mechanisms.

Thank you for your interest and support of the PAL!

Rick Conn
PAL Manager
