The Home of the Brave Ada Programmers (HBAP Ada WWW Server) "celebrated"
its 1st anniversary on March 3rd. There have been more than 250'000
hits since this server was created. Usage has steadily increased, with
a total of about 32'000 hits in January 1995 (compare to 7'500 in March
1994) and over 40'000 hits in the first half of March 1995!

The HBAP keeps growing. Here are some salient, recent additions and
contributions:

March 1995
The hypertext version of the Ada 95 Reference Manual (final
version 6.0) is online. The hypertext Reference Manual and
Rationale are downloadable by FTP. A group at the University of
Geneva has created a very nice set of documents describing and
cross-referencing the syntax rules of Ada 95, illustrated with
syntactic diagrams ("syntax as railroad maps" :-).

February 1995
New repository registered: AdaBasis. Added a tutorials section
(based on info assembled by David Wheeler). Added PDI in the
examples section (contributed by David Wheeler). The Ada 95
Rationale is online in hypertext format (contributed by Laurent Guerby).

January 1995
Added a free online Ada 95 tutorial: Lovelace (written by David Wheeler).
      "Programming with Ada" FAQ added.

December 1994
Added a searchable bibliography in the Books, Articles, and
Bibliographies section (refer file contributed by Dave Emery).
Added a section for Ada examples. Added a link to the formal
definition for the SPARK Ada 83 subset.

Do _you_ also have something to contribute? Then Presto! Email it to me.

Direct your www-browser at the HBAP, URL http://lglwww.epfl.ch/Ada/ for
further information.

Enjoy.

And we all owe you a debt of gratitude for the hard work to get
this going, and keep it up-to-date. The HBAP Ada WWW server was
one of the first, and is still one of the best, language-focused WWW servers.

Can you tell me where I get hold of a ada compiler before this weekend to operate on
a macintosh. It would be very helpful.

There is a nice Ada 83 (pseudo-machine) compiler at

   ftp://ftp.seas.gwu.edu/pub/ada/gw-adaed/mac/...

(or, in English instead of URL: FTP to "ftp.seas.gwu.edu" and change
into subdirectory pub/ada/gw-adaed/mac and poke around).
