DATELINE: March 6, 1995

Twelve years after the original Ada 83 language standard, Ada 95
finally has won an official name and international, as well as
federal, approval.  

Ada's object-oriented programming capabilities make it the first
internationally standardized OOP language.

On February 28, 1995, DDC-I, Inc., announced the integration of
additional third party tools to the DDC-I Ada Compiler System
(DACS).  The tools include Apex from Rational Software, TeamWork
from Cadre Technologies, and Continuous/CM from Continuous
Software.
