There is a book which covers this topic very well. It is:

Ada Quality and Style: Guidelines for Professional Programmers
Software Productivity Consortium
Van Nostrand Reinhold
ISBN 0-442-23805-3

While I don't agree with *every* guideline presented in this book, I agree
with enough to recommend it highly.

Dear Ada-users
Is there a coding standard available for Ada? Did I miss something on that topic in the FAQ?
With kind regards,

You might consider "Ada Quality & Style" from the Software Productivity
Consortium (ask-spc@software.org). An Ada 95 version is in the works.

If LFWC or the F-22 program has any opinions, they aren't telling me.

I think standards are such a wonderful thing that everyone should
have one of their very own! :-))

I know that the Software Productivity Consortium published a
coding standard which I looked over several years back. I think
it's in the public domain and is available from an FTP site like
WUARCHIVE.WUSTL.EDU. (Someone out there more familiar than me
might know for sure. Also check AJPO.SEI.CMU.EDU)

My recollection of the standard was this: Lots of good ideas and
recommendations WRT coding style. However, it was fairly detailed
and thorough - thus I'd hate to be audited to this as a coding
standard. (I don't know if this is a problem for you.)
