Hello,
I am currently using the GNAT DOS compiler and I am very happy with the
functionality and availability of this development system. In fact, I
am now in the process of converting my development efforts from C++ to
Ada 9X! However...
Before I can move to an Ada development environment, I must determine my
options for GUI support.
1) Can the GNAT/DOS compiler generate X applications which will execute
under MS Windows? Ofcourse, this assumes using an X package under
MS Windows.
2) Is there a public domain X library available for the MS Windows or
DOS platforms?
3) Is there a MS Windows Ada Package available anywhere for creating
native MS Windows applications? Has anyone ported GNAT so it can
create native MS Windows applications?
4) Can you think of any other Windowing options which may be available
using GNAT under Windows 3.11 or 4.0?
Thanks in advance for your help. I'm sure lots of other ex-C++ people
would be interested in this information too
