ECOOP'95

European Conference on
Object-Oriented Programming

Aarhus, Denmark, August 7-11, 1995


The ninth European Conference on Object-Oriented Programming is held
in Aarhus, Denmark. The conference aims at bringing together
researchers and practitioners from academia and industry to discuss
and exchange new developments in object-oriented languages, systems
and methods

Call For Papers

Authors are invited to submit either original research contributions,
or experience reports that provide new insights into the use of
object-oriented and related techniques. Suggested topics include, but
are not limited to:

-       Languages and their implementation
-       Combination of object-oriented programming with other language
        paradigms (logic, functional)
-       Object-oriented databases and object persistence
-       Concurrency and distribution
-       Multiagent systems
-       Theoretical foundations
-       Formal methods
-       Object-oriented analysis and design
-       Class management and class evolution
-       Reuse, components and frameworks
-       Applications and experiences
-       Teaching object-oriented concepts and methods
-       Object-oriented metrics

Submissions should be written in English, double-spaced and no longer
than 10.000 words (roughly twenty pages). A separate cover sheet must
be included which provides the following information: title, name of
author(s), postal and electronic mail addresses, telephone and fax
numbers, a ten-line abstract and a list of keywords.

Deadline for submission of papers is December 1, 1994.
Notification of acceptance will be sent out by February 1, 1995.
Camera-ready copy must be received by April 1, 1995.

Tutorials

Proposals are solicited for tutorials covering all aspects of interest
to the object-oriented community. Tutorial proposals are invited for
all levels: introductory, intermediate and advanced. Proposals should
contain a description of the tutorial topic, including a tutorial
outline, duration and level of the tutorial, and the intended
audience. More detailed guidelines for tutorial submissions can be
requested from the Tutorial Chair.

Deadline for submission of proposals is February 1, 1995.
Notification of acceptance will be sent out by March 1, 1995.
Camera-ready copy of the tutorial material must be received by June 15,
1995.

Workshops

Workshops will provide an opportunity to meet and discuss issues with
selected focus. They will also help to disseminate recent research
results and bridge gaps between related fields. Workshop participants
are chosen on the basis of a position paper submitted to the workshop
organizers. If you wish to organize a workshop, you are invited to
submit a proposal, including a description of the topic, duration of
the workshop, and of the intended audience. More detailed guidelines
for workshop submissions can be requested from the Workshop Chair.

Notification of acceptance will be sent out by March 1, 1995.

Panels

Panels addressing issues of object technology will become a part of
the conference. Panels should present interesting and divergent
views. Panel proposals are invited and proposal submissions should
include name and address of the panel chairman, panel title, summary
of key issues to be addressed, names and position statements of
panelists. More detailed guidelines for panel submissions can be
requested from the Panel Chair.

Deadline for submission of proposals is February 1, 1995.
Notification of acceptance will be sent out by March 1, 1995.

Demonstrations

Demonstrations of object-oriented software will be organized in
connection with the conference. The aim of the demonstrations is to
illustrate innovative concepts, techniques and tools. Demonstrations
will be selected on the basis of technical merits, novelty and
relevance. Proposals for demonstrations are invited and demonstration
proposals should contain description of the technical merits, novelty
and relevance of the demonstration, as well as a description of the
hardware requirements.

Deadline for submission of proposals is April 12, 1995.
Notification of acceptance will be sent out by May 1, 1995.

The conference will be accompanied by a commercial exhibition. Vendors
of object-oriented products and services are invited to participate in

systems, their use, and, in particular, the close relationship between
