I was wondering if anyone could tell me the amount of memory and
megabytes of hard drive space it takes to use merdians compiler. Thanks

We are using Open Ada by Meridian and it is taking up about 7+ meg on the hard drive and according to the installation documents, it requires 4 meg of memory. We are running 12 meg.

For Meridian's OpenAda Windows V2 ? From the manual:

"To run the Meridian Ada compiling system:

o A 286/386/486 PC with at least 4Mb of memory
o Microsoft Windows 3.0 or later
o Microsoft Windows Software Development Kit 3.0 or later
o A hard disk with at least 7Mb free space"

Having said that, if you have Borland C++ V3.1 you don't need to separately
buy the Microsoft SDK, since the OpenAda product can be convinced to use
the Windows libraries, linker etc from the Borland product. We already had
the Microsoft SDK, so it was no advantage to us. In addition, they say that
"Borland's resource toolkit can be used to create resources for use by Ada
programs".

Naturally, you can use the Microsoft SDK V3.1, and there is support for the
V3.1 functionality.
