Can anyone tell me where I can find some introductory documentation describing
some of the more common serial data buses used in avionics systems. I am
interested in finding out what I can about ARINC-419, ARINC-429, MIL-STD-1553
and whatever it is that Collins is using in ProLine 4. I am interested in both
electrical and data specs.

This is to satisfy my own curiosity, so papers available via internet are
preferred, but any other references and recommendations appreciated.

Thanks
	Bill...

Call or write ILC DAta Device Corporation
loudoun Tech Center
21400 Ridgetop Circle, Suite 100, Sterling, VA 22170
(703) 450-7900 fax (703) 450-6610

and ask for their free MIL-STD-1553 Designer's Guide. It has a
review and reationale of the spec, plus a lot of useful designer
notes.
