I recently heard an assertion by someone in defense circles that
Ada compiler vendors currently require run-time licenses to be
purchased for PC-type machines running programs produced by their
compilers.

I am under the impression that these fees disappeared a while ago.
Is my impression correct or not? It's certainly been a long time
since I've even heard the issue discussed, and was rather surprised
to see it raised this late in the day.

Please let me know of any Ada compilers that still require run-time
license fees. Respond by e-mail; I'll summarize if anything comes
in that's worth reporting.

Thanks!

Mike Feldman
