That's incorrect.  Assignment operations can be redefined in Ada,
provided the type is derived from the Controlled class.  Implicit
initialization, assignment, and finalization mayy be overidden by the
user.

Redefinition of assignment in Ada94, however, is more restrictive
than in C++, since the type tags of both the left and right must be
equal.
