With CAML, Haskell, and Smalltalk so far down the list, and
Eiffel completely absent, one can see clearly that the more
powerful, more reliable, and more effective languages are
obscured by those that are most unreliable, most likely to
produce buggy code, and least likely to be useful for anything
safety-critical.

The ordering of the list demonstrates the sad state of affairs
in our industry.   We really need to educate software engineering
managers about what constitutes good software development
tools.  Of course, if they were even trying to engineer software,
the list would look much different.
