Don't know if this has already been mentioned or is generally known.
But...

The C++ STL started out as an Ada 83 generic library. Only in 1990 the
authors changed from Ada 83 to C++ as their implementation language.

There is an Ada 95 version of the STL called SGL done by Dave Musser and
Alexander Konstantinou available at the URL
