Occasionally management is willing to try something new in an attempt
to find a way to reduce costs or improve time to market. During those
times it may be reasonable to suggest a change of languages, if only
for a small, experimental project.

If management believes that everything is going as well as it can
then there is no future in suggesting change. You must wait for
the management confidence bubble to burst. It usually does when
the economic outlook for the company worsens.

You need to act when management is beginning to worry, but before
they think the only option is to cut all funding and avoid all risk.
