Hi,
I have some beginners problem with respect to jgant/Linux.
I try "make run" for one of the examples following
jgnat-1.1p-8 (RedHat 6.2), and the response is as follows:
---------------------------------------------------------
jgnatmake hello
jgnat -c hello.adb
jgnatbind -x hello.ali
jgnatlink hello.ali
java hello
Kaffe: mem/gc-incremental.c:823: gcMalloc: Assertion `fidx < nrTypes && size !=
0' failed.
make: *** [run] Aborted (core dumped)
----------------------------------------------------------
Any hint ?
reinert

It seems as if the installed JVM is not compatible with JGNAT. Try
the Sun JVM instead.

No, actually, there have been enough incompatibilities among JVM's - even across Sun's
versions - to consider that a proper statement. For instance, when Sun moved from 1.2 to
1.3, there were many problems because the verifier actually started checking more of the
semantics. Who knows where Kaffe stands?

What is "JVM incompatible with JGNAT"?..... Rather "JGNAT is not
compatible with JVM"...
