Highlights of the 1994 Ada-Belgium Seminar:

o Invited speaker is the famous John Barnes, who will give a three hour
  tutorial on Ada 9X.

o The latest edition of his book `Programming in Ada - Plus an Overview
  of Ada 9X' is an (optional) part of the registration package (at a
  special price).

o Thanks to ACM/SIGAda, we're able to offer early registrations a free
  copy of the new Ada CDROM from Walnut Creek (November Edition), i.e.
  a copy of the Public Ada Library (PAL) on a 2 disk set.

Ada-Belgium organises its fourth annual Seminar that will focus on Ada
technologies, experiences with Ada, and especially on Ada9X.  Attendees
will include industry, military and university representatives that are
active and interested in Ada software development and management.

Programme
---------

 9.30  Welcome address,
       by Luc Bernard (Offis), President of Ada-Belgium.

 9.35  Tutorial: Object Oriented Programming in Ada9X - first part,
       by J.G.P. Barnes (John Barnes Informatics, UK)

11.00  Coffee break + Exhibition

11.30  Student paper: My First Experience with Ada,
       by S. De Vroey (Universite' Libre de Bruxelles)

11.50  Petri Nets in Ada,
       by M. Gobin (Royal Military Academy)

12.15  Lunch + Exhibition

14.00  Ada and Persistence: Realization with an OODBMS O2,
       by P. Bazex, T. Millan and F. Mulatero (Universite' Paul
       Sabatier, Toulouse, France)

14.20  Implementing an Efficient Fault Tolerance Mechanism in Ada 9X:
       an Early Experiment with GNAT,
       by Y. Kermarrec, L. Nana Tchamnda (ENST de Bretagne, Brest,
       France) and L. Pautet (Telecom Paris, France)

14.40  Coffee break + Exhibition

15.10  Tutorial: Object Oriented Programming in Ada9X - second part,
       by J.G.P. Barnes (John Barnes Informatics, UK)

16.40  Closing session, possibly including company presentations
       and an Ada 9X workshop

Exhibition
----------
During the Seminar, an exhibition about the Ada-Belgium repository, the
Walnut Creek Ada CDROM, the Public Ada Library, ... will be organised.

Free Offer
----------
Copies of the Walnut Creek Ada CDROM, provided by ACM/SIGAda, will be
freely distributed to the first registered participants, up to the
amount available.

Location
--------
The seminar takes place in the Auditorium A, Campus Plaine of the
Universite' Libre de Bruxelles, Boulevard du Triomphe, B-1050 Brussels.
Parking facilities are available on the Campus (map available on
request).

Documentation
-------------
The texts of the presentations will be (freely) delivered on the Seminar
day.  Moreover, during the Seminar, the last edition of John Barnes'
famous book "Programming in Ada, Plus an Overview of Ada 9X" will be
available at a promotional price.

3300 BF for Ada-Belgium members     (2000 BF without the book)
4500 BF for non-members             (3000 BF without the book)
1200 BF for students (without lunch) (200 BF without the book)

before November 15.
