Oops...that didn't come out right. What I meant was, there is no
reason to waste resources that could be doing "real work" like
development while maintenance assets like me can "sweat the small
stuff." It might be better from a quality standpoint that a hardware
guy like me writes test benches since I have no preconceived expectations
about what the software does. Either way, it gives me a chance to alternate
between my 8' swing lathe and pounding a keyboard, so I get the best
of many worlds! And I get paid for this job! which just astounds me...
