An interesting thing is that these impressions seem to be just based on gossips
(Ada 83, with the first compiler attempts) or simply copied from the criticism
about Pascal - which is somehow justified for Pascal.
A fundamental reason why fundamental things do not change in software as fast as
for other technical domains is that an ASCII text even doesn't become yellow with
the time. The "Ada" topic in the Jargon file must be about 20 years old, but a
newcomer could take it as fresh information... Anyway the whole text smells
its 1970-early 1980, with plenty of PDP-11 and so on... Maybe for the "Elderly
Hackers Club" ?...
