While the immediate triggers to this message are the interesting threads
ongoing in comp.programming.threads, it's something I've been thinking about
for quite a while.  I've found comp.lang.ada (meaning all you folks here)
remarkable in the level of "first principles" discussion of programming
topics.  I'm amazed at the breadth and depth of discussion, and I can
honestly say I learn something new here every day.  I'm also quite impressed
as I discover the amount of thought that has gone into the design of Ada
(which makes me especially annoyed when I read ignorant off-the-cuff attacks
on Ada elsewhere).  Thanks to all for this fine group.
