ENGINEER- CONTROL SYSTEMS
Qualifications: B.S. in Engineering or equivalent.  Strong technical
problem solving ability.  Demonstrated written and oral
communication skills.   Proficiency in PC and/or Unix workstation
tools.  Proficiency in  Fortran, C and/or Ada.  Familiarity with
control design and simulation tools (Beacon, Matlab, Simulink or
other).  Familiarity with data communication protocols.  Some
background in mechanical, hydraulic, or electronic product design,
control theory or analysis.  Excellent interpersonal and leadership
skills.  Masters degree in Mechanical, Electrical/Computer or
Aerospace engineering desirable. Responsibilities: Perform analysis,
design, test and/or integration required to develop and support
control systems for commercial aircraft engines.  Analyze control
system hardware and sofware design requirements.  Support
development of subsystems involving electronic controls, fuel system
components, actuators, sensors, transducers, pneumatic systems,
fuel/ oil systems, thrust reversers, diagnostics, monitoring and
communication functions.  Perform computer simulations and system
rig tests.  Monitor control operation on engine tests and flight
tests, organize/analyze data, identify design improvements.
Evaluate field operational data and support investigation of field
problems from airline operation and at the airframers.  Help
identify and validate product improvements.
