The thirteenth annual Advanced Software Engineering Education and
Training (ASEET) symposium will be held at the U.S. Air Force Academy in
Colorado Springs, CO 26 - 29 July 1999. The theme will be Ada in the
21st Century: Academic, Government and Industry Perspectives. The
symposium will address advanced software engineering issues, including
spiral software development, software reuse, software management
practices, software cost estimation, Capability Maturity Model (CMM)
implementation issues, object-oriented analysis, design and programming,
and training software development teams on new practices and languages.
For a more complete list of topics, refer to this Web page:

Four half-day tutorials will be offered on 26-27 July 1999. An
Introduction to Ada 95 will be presented in the morning on Monday, 26
July. This beginning level tutorial will introduce people to the Ada 95
programming language. Object-Oriented Programming Using Ada 95 will
be presented on Monday afternoon. This tutorial uses a detailed
programming example to cover the Ada 95 features required to implement
the object-oriented concepts of abstraction, inheritance and
polymorphism. Developing Ada 95 Code with a Graphical User Interface
(GUI) Builder will be presented in the morning on Tuesday, 27 July. A
tutorial addressing Capability Maturity Model (CMM) implementation
issues will be presented on Tuesday afternoon.

Papers will be presented on 28-29 July 1999. Authors of papers are
invited to prepare an extended abstract (2-4 pages) and submit two
copies of that abstract to Drew Hamilton, in Microsoft Word 6.0 or Adobe
PDF format via email at hamiltoj@spawar.navy.mil, by 30 April 1999.
Authors of accepted papers will be notified by 5 May 1999. However,
earlier submission is encouraged, and may allow earlier notification of
