Hello everyone.
Recently I was asked by a local college to teach an introductory Ada
programming course (I gladly accepted the offer). I have been developing
real-time systems in Ada for almost 10 years now, and have enjoyed working
with the language tremendously. I would like to leave a good impresion of the
language to these students as well.
I found some good info in the FAQ regarding text books and inexpensive
compilers, but if anybody has any additional information or experiences
about teaching Ada I would like to hear them. I'm particulary interested in
hearing about language features that should/should not be taught at a freshemen
level, complexity of programming assignments, prices of PC-based
compilers, etc.
You can e-mail me at jmrayas@misr-fsw.jpl.nasa.gov
Any info will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
