SGI ADA95 VERSION 1.3 SHIPS TO CUSTOMERS
After extensive alpha and beta testing, SGI's ProDev Ada95 Version 1.3
is now shipping to Silicon Graphics customers, worldwide.
Based on the industry's most validated and compliant implementation of
Ada95 -- Ada Core Technologies' gnat -- ProDev Ada95 allow developers and
customers to take full advantage of such SGI features as deterministic
real-time and leading-edge graphics.
ProDev Ada95 Version 1.3 is based on gnat version 3.11.
ProDev Ada95 Version 1.3 supports optimized 32- and 64-bit code generation
(-n32/-64) for blazingly fast performance on the very latest SGI hardware.
Version 1.3 provides full support for POSIX kernel and user threads,
which are now available on the IRIX 6.5 operating system. The new version
of Ada95 also implements fast exception handling.
ProDev Ada95 Version 1.3 is supported on IRIX 6.2, 6.3, 6.4 and 6.5.
Ada95 Version 1.3 requires ProDev Workshop 2.7 with patch 3296 for
application development.
The standard part number (quantity one) for Ada95 Version 1.3 is
SC4-ADA95-1.3 -- volume packs are also available. The PADA bundles
(which include Workshop) should be available in about a month.
