I am working with ada 3.10 (free compiler) I have to do some things in
NT (and Ada is so much nicer than fighting the pointer catastraphy of
C/C++, I can do it in these languages but ada would be so much nicer)
and was wondering how hard it is to link ada into the win32 api. I need
to be able to do some eventlog reading and etc but have not found
anything in the documentation yet that has
clued me into this. If anyone has any info on packages, modules, or
info I could download to help I would greatly appreciate it.

Sincerely,

Robert A. Thompson

Since you mention 3.10, I imagine you mean Gnat 3.10p1-nt, in
which case you should have thin bindings already on your disk
for Ada calls to the win32 api. For a thicker, more Ada style
binding, you might take a look at Claw. A demo version and a
paper "CLAW, a High Level, Portable, Ada 95 Binding for Microsoft
Windows" (coauthored by me) are available at www.rrsoftware.com
