At work, we need to provide a server program that provides an interface
between client (s) and legacy code (written in ada) that interfaces with
a database. The client(s) communicate with the server over TCP sockets.
We did not have any information on providing a socket interface in ada
at the time, so we coded all the socket interface stuff in C and C++.
Although we got it working, our solution is less than ideal from a
maintenance standpoint alone.
I am sure that the entire thing can be done in ada, but lack the
necessary information.
Sorry for the long post. Can somebody please point us in the right
direction?
