Message-ID: <352elu$ho@sluggish.src.honeywell.com> (raw)
I am interested in the use of preemptive fixed priority (a.k.a. rate
monotonic) scheduling in avionics systems that have been certified per
RTCA/DO-178, particularly to high levels of certification (flight-critical per
178A, categories B or A per 178B). If anyone can identify or has experience
with a preemptively scheduled system that has been (designed to be) certified
to these levels, or knows of any FAA or JAA policies regardling preemptive
scheduling, I would be most appreciate of hearing about it.
