What is the non-profit BURKS CD?

It is a resource kit for students of computer science.

Powered by Netscape Navigator, this CD is a self-contained
website providing nearly 650M of software, reference manuals,
and other documents from Internet sites around the world. It
includes documentation and compilers for more than 20 different
programming languages, Internet software and documentation, a
large collection of shareware, a dictionary of computing with
over 10,000 definitions and a complete version of Linux, the
popular free version of the Unix operating system for PCs.

See an online version of the BURKS CD at:

http://burks.bton.ac.uk/burks/index.htm

Ordering information for the CD from the UK
and Europe is available at that site. In the
U.S.:

Send a _money order_ (not a check, please) for $6.00
($5.00 + $1.00 P&H)
made out to The George Washington University, to:

BURKS CD
Office of the Associate Dean for Academic Affairs
School of Engineering and Applied Science
The George Washington University
Washington, DC 20052

It will ship ASAP after they get your order & payment.

This CD is an excellent value, and should be looked at
by not only students, but their professors as well!
