The premier international conference on software reuse invites you
to
participate in the fifth meeting of software reuse researchers,
practitioners, and managers. The conference theme, "Putting the
Pieces Together," addresses the traditional question of how to
create, index, retrieve, evaluate, interconnect, integrate, and test

reusable components for all aspects of the software lifecycle.
However, "putting the pieces together" means more than assembling
software components into new applications. It also means bringing
together all the technologies, tools, techniques, and processes that

have historically interested the reuse, object-oriented, software
architecture, and software engineering communities. We invite you
to
submit full papers, tutorials, and panel proposals on topics that
    include:

    * Application of reuse metrics * Language design for reuse
    * Case studies and experiments * Maintenance issues in reuse

    * Copyright and legal issues * Object-oriented reuse
    * Current issues in reuse libraries * Patterns for software
design
    * Distributed components                   and composition
    * Formal methods * Practical organizational
issues
    * Design and validation of components * Re-engineering for reuse
    * Domain analysis and engineering * Reuse education and
training
    * Generators and transformers * Reuse beyond code
    * Integration frameworks * Software architecture
    * Internet-based reuse

Just so that everyone is doubly aware, the deadline for submission to
ICSR5 is *October 1*. The program chairs have received some
correspondence
that indicates a few interested participants still are under the
impression
submissions were due September 1. If you were hoping to send something
in,
but felt you didn't have enough time, be sure you're planning against
the
correct date: submissions due by *October 1*. If you have any
questions,
feel free to send me e-mail or drop by our web site ...
