military customers in the areas of systems and software engineering,
supervisory control systems, environmental services & secure and
TEMPEST hardened communication devices. Ilex has been in business
since 1982 and currently employs over 500 individuals.  The Ilex
Systems Engineering Services Division  (SESD) integrates proven
techniques with emerging technologies to design system and software
engineering solutions.  The Ilex Systems SESD major center of
operations, in Shrewsbury, NJ is ideally located near the beaches of
the Jersey Shore and New York City with other company facilities
worldwide.  

We are currently seeking Software Engineers for our Shrewsbury, NJ and
Sierra Vista, AZ (Fort Huachuca) facilities. These are regular

JOB DESCRIPTION:
Ilex engineers participate in project teams that design, develop, test
and install software for intelligence collection, intelligence
analysis and aircraft protection systems. Engineers also develop
software and hardware for applications as diverse as advanced
technology demonstrations, user training, software support
environments, laboratory testing and field reprogramming.  Current
development efforts emphasize migration to open architectures,
commercial software standards and integration of off-the-shelf
products, exposing Ilex engineers to the latest innovations and
technologies in the marketplace. The small size of Ilex project teams
(typically 1-8 engineers) affords a high degree of visibility for the
efforts of all staff members.
QUALIFICATIONS:
***Candidates must be US Citizens to obtain the necessary Security
***Clearance from the DoD.
**A BS in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical
**Engineering, Mathematics, Software Engineering or other related
**technical discipline is required for consideration to most Ilex
**positions.
Experience with any of the following:
Ada, C, C++, Visual Basic and Assembly programming languages.
UNIX, Windows and Windows NT operating systems.
Reverse engineering process and forward development methods; CASE
tools, RDBMS, System/software test simulators, software code analysis,
World Wide Web development utilizing HTML, Java and TCP/IP; Database
Administration and development experience with SQL, SQL Server,
Sybase, Oracle, Client/Server and Internet/Web connectivity;
Networking and Data Communications experience in LANs,WANs, Systems
Administration, UNIX, Novell Netware, Solaris,Security and Cryptology.
