Hi

I am using Gnat Ada95 v3.07 for UNIX Solaris 2.3 on a Sun.
I am at present just using the Sun texteditor -v. simple.

Could anyone tell me of a good text editor especially useful
for Ada 95 programming, some kind of IDE for UNIX perhaps?
I have heard of EMACS Ada mode but do not know if that
is the best.

I would like a more Windows based approach perhaps
with syntactical colouring say and any other useful
features.

Any advice or suggestions most welcome.

Sincerely

Will Berriss

Hello William,

I have been using Emacs or Xemacs with Ada-mode for a few months and
if ind it very good. You've got syntactycal coloring, you've got some
options to program faster, and then if you're good in lisp (because
Emacs uses lisp functions), you can increase the customization offered
by emacs, as I have done. You can also compile, execute and eventually
debug within Emacs. A lisp file for Emacs Ada-Mode Emacs is normally
available with the Gnat.

	Bye, Paul.
