Hello,
I have problems to install Win32ada on my Pentium running Windows95 with
gnat 3.09.
When I try to compile some files I have the following error messages.
For example:
D:\USR\lib\win32ada\src>gcc -c win32-winnt.adb

win32-winnt.ads:2645:05: representation item appears too late
win32-winnt.ads:2658:05: representation item appears too late
win32-winnt.ads:2659:05: representation item appears too late
Is anyone had sucessfull installed this lib ? Is there a patch ?

Yes there's a problem with Win32Ada and gnat 3.09. You need to
move some pragmas to a place earlier in the source code.

Just to clarify, the problem is in Win32Ada, the interface contains illegal
constructs that are correctly diagnosed and rejected by GNAT! (and should
be diagnosed and rejected by any other correct Ada 95 compiler -- in this
respect some earlier versions of GNAT were indeed incorrect, which is how
the problem arose, but at this point the problem is all on Win32Ada's side!

Consult the archive of chat@gnat.com for a discussion of this issue. The
problem is that this is the wrong version of win32-winnt (the diagnostics
issued are legitimate, and represent real illegalities in the version you
are using).
