FREE UML self-assessment quiz now available at http://www.iconixsw.com
Are you ready for the UML? The new Unified Modeling Language notation
from Rational, which encompasses the OOA/D methodologies of Booch,
Rumbaugh, and Jacobson, is likely to become the standard notation for
describing object-oriented software designs.
In order to help you get ready for the UML, ICONIX Training and
Consulting has prepared a self-assessment quiz, which you can access
at no-cost on our website. For several years, ICONIX has been
teaching Unified Object Modeling, synthesizing Booch, Rumbaugh, and
Jacobson methods into a comprehensive development PROCESS. We also
build tools that support this Unified OOA/D process, using the
original notations today, and plan to support the UML after the
notation has stabilized. While we feel the notation is secondary to
the process, we support the synthesis of methods.
As with our popular "Object IQ" quiz, your quiz will be scored
automatically, and the results EMAILed back to you, along with an
answer key which will serve as a tutorial on the new notations. And,
by taking the quiz, you'll qualify for a monthly drawing of our latest
CD-ROM multimedia tutorial, "An Interactive Briefing on Object
Technology", which features narrated tours of dozens of websites
covering cutting-edge technology such as CORBA, COM, ActiveX,
OpenDoc/LiveObjects, Java Beans and others.
More detailed information about the tutorial is available at
http://www.iconixsw.com/Spec_Sheets/CD-ROM_Training.html
There's no obligation to purchase anything, and the quiz is FREE, so
surf on over and take your best shot! The ICONIX website is located at
