Subject: VADScross real-time monitor?

Message-ID: <300@VisiCom.COM> (raw)
We're trying to roughly analyze the performance of a VADScross-based
system. As a first cut, I've started to write a tool that keeps
track of all task creations and deletions, and keeps track of time
spent between task context switches. This uses the VADScross V_Xtasking
package, specifically the V_Xtasking.Register_Task_Callout kernel hooks (*).
Has anyone done this already? If so, are you willing to share some
code?
Thanks,
.Bob.
* Yes, I know this is intrusive, but it's only the first step in analyzing
task interactions and CPU utlization. We've got ICE and logic
analyzers to use after we've found the main offenders...
