Hi there netfolks,

Yet again it's time for a release of the XView Ada Library. This time
it's only a minor release, due to the fact of some really bad design
flaws in previous versions. After changing a couple of things, I got
the library to compile with gnat 3.03 for Solaris x86.
I have removed default values for a couple of the discriminants when
creating an object. This could mean that it's not backward compatible
any longer.

Unfortunately, the documentation does not reflect the changes, this is
due to a disk crash when I shipped the computer to Australia (where I
am for the moment). All my master files were destroyed, so all I had
was the source code and a Postscript document... :-(
If you can recommend me a PS->ASCII converter, please drop me an email.

I have just uploaded it to sunsite.unc.edu:/pub/Linux/Incoming as
xvAda-0.4.1.tar.gz, and it will hopefully be moved to /pub/Linux/libs/
X11 within a couple of days.

XV Ada Library is an object-oriented library that implements parts of 
the XView library for C. Implemented objects are; Frame, Frame_Cmd, 
Panel, Panel_Button, Panel_Text, Panel_Numeric, Panel_Choice, 
Panel_Toggle, Panel_List, Panel_Checkbox, Panel_Message, Panel_Slider, 
Panel_Gauge, Menu, Menu_Item, Font, Icon, Server_Image and 
Panel_Notice, Text_Subwindow, Tty_Subwindow. 

The library is what many call a thick binding to the C version of the
XView library. In the archive there are five demonstration programs to 
show what the library can do. Included in the archive is also the 130+
pages manual in Postscript format. 

The library is written using Gnat 3.03 and Solaris 2.5 for x86. The 
library also compiles under SPARC with Solaris 2.4 using Gnat 3.01. It 
should also compile under Linux 1.3.x with Gnat 3.01.
