has a sockets package like Claw's but with no Claw dependence and two
Windows-specific calls - WSAStartup and WSACleanup for initial startup
and final shutdown.
Claw.Registry, OTOH, would be bizarre to try to port to an OS with
nothing similar to Windows Registry.
