Subject: Ada Experience References

Message-ID: <2227@aldebaran.cs.nps.navy.mil> (raw)
As part of a study tasked by the Office of the Secretary of Defense, I am
compiling a short bibliography relating, in part, to the following topics:
- Actual reuse of Ada components
- Ada/SQL Bindings experience
- Ada software maintenance experience
- Benefits of using Ada in system design and implementation
(not including software maintenance aspects. This addresses
Ada being a portion of a software engineering methodology, and
the proposal that making use of Ada makes it somewhat more
difficult to write 'bad' code).
While the study is predominantly focused on management information systems,
I am not limiting my search to only that application. I am looking for
references on the above topics suitable for inclusion in a reference material
compilation for higher level managers, and am primarily interested in
published accounts. I would also welcome any previously unpublished summaries
of people's experience on the above issues.
Although not a part of the study, there has been some discussion on the net
of late of similar benefits for the use of C++. I would also be interested
in collecting a similar reference list with respect to the use of C++.
If there is interest, I will post the bibliographic listing to the net.
Thanks for your assistance.
