Hi all,

I've been revising and republishing the Ada project summary at

http://www.seas.gwu.edu/~mfeldman/ada-project-summary.html

quite frequently.

For the forthcoming ACM Symposium on Computer Science Education
(SIGCSE 2000), the second week in March, we will be operating a
SIGAda exhibit as usual. I'm going to make paper copies of the
list to distribute there. I want this list to be as complete as
we can possibly make it, so as to maximize its influence on the
CS educators we meet there.

So I want to make one more big push to recruit items for the
list. Don't worry if you don't have a web link for a project;
whether or not we have a link, listing a project is better than
not listing it!

Send listing info (in confidence, of course!) to
mfeldman@seas.gwu.edu.

Thanks!

Michael Feldman

This is to report back, and say thanks, to those on Team Ada
and comp.lang.ada who offered suggestions re publishing and
those who requested review copies of "LearnAda" Volume 1,
"Ada Essentials: Overview, Examples and Glossary."

Marin Condic, John Harbaugh, David Hoos and Rush Kester have
already supplied very useful comments and criticisms.

Karl Nyberg suggested I consider self-publishing, and I am
now planning to do that, at least initially. (The publishing
world has changed radically in the last few years.)

I plan to begin selling the browser-based version through my
own LearnAda.com web site very shortly. (price, $12)

The printed book should appear for sale at some printer/
publisher's web site in six weeks or so. I have to make a
selection among several candidates first. The PDF version
will be sold at the FatBrain.com site.
(FatBrain doesn't know it yet.)

Announcements will appear here when appropriate.

Please don't stop the reviewing process. Some of you are
college teachers or corporate trainers, and I realize that
the Spring term is just beginning. Your feedback will be
valuable for the next version.

Thanks again to all,

Bard Crawford
Stage Harbor Software

Stage Harbor Software announces the release of the first
volume in the new "LearnAda" series. It can be ordered
at the www.LearnAda.com web site.

The title of this first volume is
"Ada Essentials: Overview, Examples and Glossary"

It will soon be offered in three forms: a printed book,
a PDF version of the book, and a collection of web pages
viewed on modern browsers such Netscape Navigator or
MS Internet Explorer. The browser version (available
now at a price of $12) has many hyperlinks linking
elements of normal text, source code examples and
graphical representations.

The other two versions will be available soon at prices
to be determined.
