This isn't a major issue, just something I think is a nice coincidence
in ideas.

In a _Star Trek: Voyager_ episode ("Darkling"?), Chief Engineer B'Lanna
Torres advises the Emergency Medical Hologram program about the dangers
of grafting personality profiles onto itself. Her example was the wild
attitudes of Lord Byron. I think it was neat using that example, since
Lord Byron's most famous kid, Augusta Ada Byron, Countess Lovelace
(a.k.a. Lady Augusta Ada Lovelace), was considered one of the first
computer programmers. This was back in the age with Charles Babbage and
mechanical computers. There's even a computer programming language
named in her honor.

[Obl. cla] Are there any applications/research in AI using Ada?
(Obviously, a real EMH is beyond our capabilities, both in software and
[especially] in hardware.)

[Obl. atstv] Do you think the ST guys thought of this connection, or was
it a happy coincidence? (Probably the latter, since they can't get
basic computer stuff like copying files, restoring from backups, and
truly compressing files [instead of chopping off unneeded bits] right.)
